As the end of 2021 quickly approaches, it's a great time to take a moment to think about your client'sperception of your business and their comfort.
By the end of the year, many businesses find themselves booked solid each and every day. While this is amazing and what we absolutely love to hear, this is the time when things start to slide, get overlooked, or start to break down.
Here are some things to think about from your new and especially your existing clients perspective:
- While you and your staff are focused on scheduling and services, what is it your clients are seeing and feeling?
- Are the table coverings looking old, dingy or stained?
- Are the dirty laundry areas and trash receptacles overflowing?
- Is your equipment showing serious signs of wear & tear or even worse, not working at 100%?
- While your staff is working back-to-back appointments, are their uniforms representing the brand image or are they wrinkled or stained?
- Do all of your treatment tables have table warmers?
- Do you have enough robes, slippers and hot towel cabinets for client comfort (especially if you keep your thermostat on the cooler side to keep staff comfortable while working)
You always want to keep in mind, no matter how busy you are, to take a step back and look at everything as if you were the client. You may offer the best services with the best staff but if everything else starts to slide, your reputation may also slide.
Most clients won't ever bring these things to your attention either. It is much more common for a person to simply go to your competition, never to be heard from again, leaving you wondering why.
