Pedicure bowls are wildly popular in spas. They are beautiful, mobile and a great hygienic alternative to noisy thrones or jets, and they enhance every spa décor. Yet as fabulous as these bowls are, some pros are weighed down by the cumbersome task of emptying out the water after a pedicure service.

Recently at the IECSC show, I over heard a spa owner saying that emptying these pedicure bowls has become an injury concern for her as picking up and emptying the full bowl is unmanageable for some of her more fragile staff members. The suggestion from the pedicure bowl rep. was to decant the water from the bowl using a pitcher. Once the bowl is nearly empty it is easy to pick up and discard remaining water and proceed to disinfect.
