It's no secret if you read my blog posts that I adore essential oils and all things aromatherapy. What I love most, aside from lovely aromas, is the therapeutic benefits associated with the oils.
I was just reading an article in Massage Magazine on a study done on the effectiveness of ginger oil combined with Swedish massage or traditional Thai massage on chronic lower back pain.The group conducting the study monitored both the short and long term effectiveness of the ginger oil and compared it against the baseline pain level at the start. Both modalities (although Swedish proved to be more effective) led to significant improvement in pain levels and disability.
Ginger oil is also known for increasing circulation making it a great oil for sports massage and client's with poor circulation.
