Steamer Cleaning:
It's good to periodically give your steamers a good thorough cleaning. Running white vinegar through your steamer will help clean the coils and prevent damage. (Note: Do not turn on the ozone or leave the vinegar in overnight, and remember to only use distilled water.) You can read more on cleaning them and pro tips here.
Keeping a running book of all the cleaning performed in the shop is an excellent way of being sure things are in tip top shape. You can record the dates of when and how things were cleaned so there will never be any doubt.
Are all of your employees licenses up to date and proudly displayed? I've always liked the look of a framed license rather than one haphazardly taped to the wall, it seems more professional. They worked hard in school, had to pass boards and state licensing procedures...show it off!
Make sure you have the right cleansers, gloves and disinfectants on hand to properly clean and sanitize your stations, floors, implements, furniture and equipment.
