Maybe it's the snow and sleet falling outside my window, but my brain is occupied with all things warm right now.
When you have a client all nice and comfortable on your table, ready to melt away from the massage you are about to give, the last thing you want is to shock them with cold lotion. If the lotion is colder than their body temperature, at the very least it's going to startle them...which could slow and even prevent full relaxation.
Why chance it when you can get a lotion warmer?!?
